Holder Letter to Russian Justice Minister About Snowden
A copy of the letter was provided to The New York Times on Friday by a Justice Department official, in response to questions about communications between the United States and Russian governments about Mr. Snowden’s fate.
In a letter dated July 23, Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. told Russia’s minister of justice assuring him that Edward J. Snowden would not face the death penalty if returned to the United States. Related Article »
